Culture of Philanthropy: Leading Across the Organization
When program staff, finance, and the front desk understand their role in fundraising, the work gets easier. Building that culture is executive work.
Through the International NGOs lens
The consent standard this module recommends, voluntary, reviewable, revocable without penalty, carries extra weight here because the people whose stories fund your organization are often on the far side of a real language and power gap from the donor reading the appeal, which makes dignity in storytelling a deliberate practice rather than a default. A field officer who flags a moment worth telling and trusts development to handle translation and framing with care is this module's story flag in practice, except the correction, once a story ships internationally, is much harder to make, which is why only executive leadership can make dignified representation a real institutional expectation rather than a guideline staff quietly work around under deadline pressure.
