Culture of Philanthropy: Leading Across the Organization
When program staff, finance, and the front desk understand their role in fundraising, the work gets easier. Building that culture is executive work.
Through the Faith-Based lens
The wall this module argues against, program on one side, development on the other, shows up in a parish as the divide between ministry and stewardship, and the discomfort many congregations feel about discussing money at all is often the reason that wall got built in the first place. A pastor who thanks a giver personally, or a religious-education teacher who flags a family's story worth telling, is doing the observable culture work this module asks leaders to notice and name, and because this is executive work, only the pastor can make asking a normal, expected part of parish life rather than the stewardship committee's awkward errand.
